RobTechUK was founded in March 2026 in Manchester, England by Robbie Adamson, a beginner with a strong interest in learning technology and game development. What started as a simple idea quickly became a personal mission to build and launch original web-based games from scratch.
Whilst working a minimum wage factory job, I had several ideas for games that I believed could be popular. After reaching out to developers, I was quoted between £10,000 and £40,000 to build them, with some concepts even requiring gambling licences. With no prior coding experience, I decided to take a different approach and learn to build them myself.
I had no technical background but started to think, “How hard is it to create games?” After several AI-assisted learning sessions and hours of self-teaching, I decided to go at it alone and begin building my own projects from scratch.
In true punk rock style, I got myself a laptop and some second-hand books, several YouTube videos and decided to do it myself. Starting with the simplest of word games to learn game logic, Letters In was created as a daily word puzzle to understand how games work behind the scenes.
As development progressed, new ideas quickly followed, and within a few weeks I had more game concepts than I had time to build. What began as a learning exercise quickly grew into something much bigger.
Today, RobTechUK is a growing and ambitious independent project focused on creating simple, engaging and accessible browser-based games. The aim is to provide fun, fast-paced experiences that also challenge memory, vocabulary and problem-solving skills.
Word games in particular can help improve vocabulary, pattern recognition and mental agility. RobTechUK aims to build on these benefits by offering daily challenges that are both enjoyable and mentally stimulating.
This is just the beginning, with more games and features planned in the near future.
RobTechUK is expanding into a collection of browser-based games. See our other projects at RobTech.uk .
